Whether you are dealing with a specific issue or would like to explore your existence in a broader sense, starting therapy can be an opportunity to create some space in your life to bring awareness to how you are in the world with others.
​
I aim to be a co-traveller on your life exploration journey. Together, we co-create a safe enough space and a relationship of solidarity through which you are supported to freely wander and face the inevitable challenges of being alive in the world we share today.
Reasons for starting therapy are many, but I would be best trained to support you if, for example:

You are experiencing persistent suffering, either in personal/work or community relationships; 'Something' feels off, strange
You would describe your struggle as burnout, depression or anxiety;
You are a global nomad / expat/ immigrant navigating all the possible changes this can bring.
My practice is mostly influenced by Existential psychotherapy, Zen tradition and Gestalt therapy. These approaches share the value of facing inevitable challenges of life, which is recognised as a relational process. Therapy can be a space to do so safely.

THERAPY FAQ
WHERE WILL THERAPY TAKE PLACE?
​
The practice is based in Amsterdam Noord. Unfortunately, at the moment, the space is not wheelchair accessible.
I also work online, via Zoom.
WHO IS THERAPY FOR?
​
Anyone. Therapy is not only for individuals who have received mental health diagnosis. It is available to anyone who is interested in exploring the way they live.
​
Currently, I only offer individual therapy for adults.
​
Additionally, I work in a private practice, and there might be issues or circumstances with which you would be better supported by a different sort of therapy or care. This is something we can address in our initial discussion.
​

HOW MUCH DOES THERAPY COST?
I find figuring out fees in private practice a particularly challenging reality infused nightmare. This job is my calling, my passion, *and* it needs to cover my costs of living. In the current climate, this means I am closing doors to people who are priced out of this service.
This is what I can think of for now. I will be revisiting and potentially changing these conditions on yearly basis, in September.
If you have any ideas how to make offering this service more sustainable, especially if you come from a position of wealth privilege, either as an individual or organisation, please get in touch, I am open to discussion.
Fee per session: 80€
Subsidised fee: 50€
At the moment i can offer two weekly slots at this rate, for people who cannot afford the above fee. I appreciate this is still unattainable for many.
Pay it forward: 160€
I believe accumulation of wealth at the expense of others beings is bullshit; and a source of much suffering in the world we share today.

If you have more than you need, pay it forward. Opting for this fee per session will enable me to offer free sessions to those who have no spare cash to give to therapy.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

This is hard to tell, as it really depends on you and your circumstances.
​
Some people come in with a specific issue and find that short term work (6-12 sessions) is enough for them.
​
Others prefer more explorative work that generally takes place over a longer term (12weeks+).
​
We will address your needs in our initial discussion and we will keep revisiting this as we work together. After the initial discussion, if you should choose to go ahead, I would suggest a provisional commitment of six sessions.
​
HOW OFTEN DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
​
Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place either once a week or once every two weeks, preferably at the same time.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL
A SESSION?
​
You can cancel your appointment at any time as long as you notify me up to 48h before the session.
​
Any later cancellations will be charged at the full session price.
